Dearly beloved, God
will restore comfort to your soul and bestow His peace upon you.
For us who live amidst the pains and perils of this world, His comfort alone revives our drooping spirits. Lord Jesus has promised, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27).
He has said, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6,7).
When you seek the Lord with all your heart, He will bestow His peace upon you. When you seek Him genuinely, He will reveal Himself to you.
David advised His son Solomon: “If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever” (1 Chronicles 28: 9). The Bible advises, “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6).
Hold fast to the Lord your Saviour. He is your life and the length of your days (Deuteronomy 11:22; 30:20). That alone is joy.
Did Lord Jesus let down Martha and Mary who clung to Him? No! He raised their brother Lazarus alive who lay dead and rotten in his grave for four days, and enthralled them and their family. He will also rebuild your broken home and change your tears of agony to tears of joy!
The Psalmist says, “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your love, O LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul” (Psalm 94:18,19). As stated in above Bible verses, God’s love will uphold you. He will not allow your foot to slip. He will comfort you with His divine love and bring joy to your soul.
