WONDERFUL BLESSINGS

By Stella Dhinakaran

In the Bible, we read about a widow by name Ruth. Though she was a Moabite woman, when she opened her heart to the Lord, His abundant peace filled her life perfectly. Boaz, who later became her husband, said to her, “May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge" (Ruth 2:12).

The Lord Jesus has promised, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). Have you received this divine experience? Can you feel God in you as the ‘King of glory’ – Think awhile!

In the days when the Lord Jesus Christ was in this world, it was His custom to visit a particular family comprising of three persons – Martha, Mary and Lazarus. This was because the three of them had great love for Him and lived godly lives. So his heart was well-pleased with them. Among the three, Mary loved Him the most since she always held fast to His feet and honoured His Words.

Today, if you too seek Him and show Him love, He will come and dwell in your house. That day, He stayed with them visibly. But today, He will come and stay with you in the form of the Holy Spirit. That is the only difference! If you want this ‘King of Glory’ to stay with you, honour His Words and meditate on them as said in Psalm 1:2.

The Lord Himself testified about Mary: “Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:42). What a privilege! Dearly beloved, today, how many of you can receive such testimonies from the mouth of the Lord? If you are found lacking in Bible reading and prayer, you cannot have a true fellowship with God.

Mary’s true piety and love that she had on the Lord paved ways for her to receive a great miracle. Not only that, she could enjoy His presence every day. What a great privilege is this! Why vain talk proceeds out of our mouth? After that we regret, “Oh! I spoke hastily and without thinking.” The reason is the lack of the presence of the Lord in lives. If you want your life to be united with the Lord, like Mary, be diligent in seeking Him and having fellowship with Him as much as possible.

Even in my life, initially I lacked in prayer and Bible reading because of heavy work. Then I cried to the Lord saying, “Lord! I am unable to seek You diligently because of this heavy load of work.” He taught me, “Daughter! Choose to talk to Me even while doing any work or travelling by bus or even when cooking. Then I will fill you with My presence. I will command blessings in whatever things you do.”

The Lord says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you” (Psalm 32:8). “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go’” (Isaiah 48:17).

Confess your shortcomings to the Lord and have a close communion with Him through prayer. Then the presence of the King of glory shall encompass you.

The Bible says, “How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you” (Psalm 31:19). God has prepared wonderful blessings for those who honour Him. He will exalt those who come to Him for shelter; all eyes will see it.
